Climate Related Disclosure
Vital previously met the definition of a Climate Reporting Entity (CRE) under the Financial Sector (Climate-related Disclosures and Other Matters) Amendment Act 2021 and prepared climate-related disclosures in accordance with the External Reporting Board (XRB) Aotearoa New Zealand Climate Standards (CS1, CS2 and CS3). Following the New Zealand Government’s proposed legislative changes, Vital is no longer expected to be classified as a CRE from FY2026 and therefore will not be required to produce ongoing climate statements under the Climate-related Disclosures regime.
Climate-related disclosures prepared under the XRB Climate Standards (CS1–CS3) for prior years are available below. These reports remain publicly accessible in accordance with statutory requirements.
While our formal reporting obligations are changing, Vital remains committed to transparent climate-related governance, risk management and emissions reduction aligned with long-term value creation for our Unit Holders.
