Developments are seen as a key component of Vital’s strategy providing both earnings growth and improving Vital’s portfolio. Typically, developments offer an attractive return on cost, are accretive for Unit Holders and provide valuation upside on completion. They also help our tenants increase their revenue, ensure our assets match current market requirements, reduce average building age and help to extend/maintain WALE.
Due to the above, Vital seeks to have 10-15% of the portfolio’s value under development.
