Sportsmed Hospital, Clinic, Consulting & Office

Sportsmed SA is a state-of-the-art healthcare precinct consisting of a specialist orthopaedic hospital, clinic and consulting facility. It is located in the suburb of Stepney approximately four kilometres north-east of Adelaide’s CBD, in South Australia.

The hospital is operated by Burnside War Memorial Hospital following the acquisition of the Sportsmed hospital business in September 2023. It has five operating theatres, 45 individual private rooms and a four-bed High Dependency Unit.

Burnside also operate an existing hospital in Toorak Gardens, located 5km’s away. The acquisition of Sportsmed increases operational efficiency between both sites and strengthens the business in the long run.

The clinic building and adjacent consulting facility includes consulting suites, treatment rooms as well as radiology services, a pharmacy and a cafe.
